I paid $26.55 including shipping for the Tach from Ebay and $19.00 for the OMC Johnson/Evinrude tach Harness including shipping from Ebay. I went out and temporarilly inssatlled...E88MSLCE SPL. You can't test a water pump on muffs. Hose pressure is forcing water up through the engine, not the water pump. Had it out last night and it had been running fine, went to get on plane to go to a new spot and it started to shake / miss and didn't have much power. Looks like you may have to use a hand held impact screwdriver to loosen that fill screw. It is the one you have circled. Good luck.

It's a good idea to have a temperature gauge because it gives you a way of monitoring the effectiveness of the cooling system, rather than depending on the warning horn, which often comes too late or at an inconvenient time.
