Jun 18, 2023. #1. 2016 LML duramax, cp3 swapped (before rebuild all tuning is for cp3 swap), fass 165, installed Mahle performance pistons and rings, I've bled all the air you can possibly think. Maybe there's more left. I'm between 430-450psi in all cylinders as well, did a manual compression test after completing the rebuild.Leaving for vacation in 2 days. I just replaced the fpr on my 2013 duramax LML with a kyntex upgraded regulator (better screen). Install went smooth. Went to start the truck up and crank no start. I then bled the air out at the filter housing. No start. Then bled the Schrader valve. Some air came out. Still no luck. No visible or audible air leaks.Hooked up bluetooth scanner and read codes P128E & P0088 (high fuel rail pressure) reset the codes and took it for a ride. Seemed fine, but when I stood on the gas it wouldn't go over about 2900 RPM then check engine light with reduced power mode, and change fuel filter message. There is no code for crank sensor or anything like that. The only codes are: P0090, P0193, U0105, U0106. Then a couple that say stuff about class 2 data link, front wheel speed sensor, and outside temp sensor, but these only show up when i read the codes with my V2. The other ones come up on my edge CTS monitor and the v2.

Change the fuel filter often, the Duramax fuel system is fed by suction from the fuel tank and the slightest filter plugging will starve and overwork the fuel pump. The newer 17 models finally use a fuel boost pump to correct the starve issue. 2016 lml reman swap no start low fuel pressure. I broke the crank on my original engine and replaced it with a reman. Prior to the breakdown, all things worked at optimal condition. Now that we have the new engine in, I'm showing 260-305 psi in the fuel system. Turns well and strong but won't start. Not enough pressure.

If there is air in it and you can't prime it with the pump on the housing, you can either rebuild or replace the housing. Loosen the bleeder valve, pump the pump. It's easier if you pull off some of the intake tubing.
